St Luke's Church Primary School in the heart of Tiptree is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to support an individual child in Year 1. You will focus on Maths, English and Phonics, implementing trauma-informed approaches and maintaining a calm, consistent classroom routine.

Responsibilities

  • Support an individual child in Year 1 with maths, English and phonics.
  • Assist with adult-led curriculum tasks in the classroom and follow up with short motivators.

  • Foster a warm, supportive environment and build trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and inclusive practices within the school.

Job description

10:00 am - 12.30 pm (with a 30 minute unpaid break from 11am-11.30am) and 2pm-3pm. This is supporting a little boy who is relatively new to the school in year 1.

We are seeking a caring, committed and enthusiasticLearning Support Assistantto join our team and support an individual child in Year 1. There will be a focus on completing adult-agenda curriculum tasks in the classroom followed by short motivators. This will be Maths, English and Phonics. It will require a person with a calm and consistent approach, who will implement trauma informed approaches., We are seeking someone who is:

St Luke's Church Primary School was founded in 1863 to provide education according to the principles and practices of the Church of England. Following the reorganisation of many Church of England schools in the 1950's, St Luke's became a controlled school.
