Job summary

Academics Ltd in Reading is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to students, help with learning, communication and emotional wellbeing, and assist teachers with inclusive classroom activities.

Ideal candidates include psychology or criminology graduates or people with experience working with young people. This full-time role starts ASAP, with hours Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm, and a daily pay rate of £93–£110, in line with

• Experience supporting young people in SEN settings is preferred.
• Strong communication and behavioural support skills.

Job Responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEN.
• Support students with their learning, communication, behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive classroom activities.
• Implement individual learning plans, EHCP targets and support strategies.
• Support students with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
• Monitor and record student progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
