Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a specialist school in Reading. The role supports pupils with learning, 1:1 and small groups, helping them access learning and build independence.

You'll work with Teachers and support staff to aid academic development, communication and social skills, creating a positive, safe learning environment. ASAP start; salary £90-£105/day.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Candidates with transferable experience from care, youth work or similar settings are welcome.

Responsibilities

Pay: £90.00 - £105.00/day

A friendly and inclusive specialist school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The school provides a structured environment where pupils receive personalised support to help them access learning and develop their independence.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with Teachers and other members of the support team to provide tailored assistance throughout the school day. You will support pupils with their academic development while also helping them build confidence, communication skills and positive relationships.

This Learning Support Assistant role will involve:

• Supporting pupils with their learning on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting pupils with classroom tasks and activities
