Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is recruiting Learning Support Assistants for schools in and around Ongar. You will support children who may have additional learning needs, Autism, ADHD, or social and emotional needs, helping them engage in lessons.

Roles are during school hours, Monday to Friday, term time only. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training, and a valid DBS check; safeguarding training is provided. This temporary role could lead to ongoing opportunities.

Your care experience could change a child’s experience of school.

If you have worked in social care, children’s residential care, supported accommodation, youth work or a similar setting, you already possess many of the skills schools need.

We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for schools in and around Ongar. You will support children who may have additional learning needs, Autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour or social and emotional needs.

Your responsibilities could include supporting children in lessons, helping them regulate their emotions, delivering one-to-one interventions and encouraging positive relationships with their classmates.

Previous school experience is helpful but not essential. We are particularly interested in hearing from children’s residential care workers, social-care professionals, family support workers, youth workers and support workers who would like to move into education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
