Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting Learning Support Assistants for schools in the Debden area. You may support children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, learning disabilities or social and emotional mental health needs.

Roles are generally full-time, Monday to Friday during term time. You will receive weekly PAYE pay, access to training and support throughout your placement. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

Job description

We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for schools in the Debden area. The children you support may have Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities or social, emotional and mental health needs.

Your week could look like this:

Monday: Help a pupil confidently answer a question in class.

Tuesday: Turn a challenging moment into a positive one.

Wednesday: Celebrate a child completing work independently.

Thursday: Support a small group with reading and phonics.

Friday: Finish the week knowing that your support made a real difference.

You do not necessarily need previous classroom experience. We welcome applications from people who have supported children or vulnerable young people in:

• Children’s homes
• Social-care environments
• Nurseries and preschools
• Youth services
• Holiday clubs
• Sports or activity programmes
• Community and family-support settings

We are looking for calm, dependable and adaptable people who can build trusting relationships while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
