Job summary

Ide Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school, including those with additional needs. You will help children access learning, build confidence, and foster a nurturing classroom where every child can thrive.

You will work with teachers to deliver engaging activities, support social and emotional development, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment while collaborating with families and the school community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and building positive relationships.
• Ability to nurture social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Patient, proactive and committed to inclusion and belonging.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in class, in small groups and sometimes 1:1 to access learning.
• Help children develop confidence and independence.
• Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
• Support children's social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Celebrate progress and contribute to a calm, safe learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with families and the wider school community.
• Participate in school life, visits, events and enrichment opportunities.
