Job summary

Huttoft Primary & Nursery School is seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant to support the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities.

You will help pupils access the curriculum, support social, emotional and behaviour development, and assist with pupils with additional needs following individual plans. You will also help prepare learning materials and monitor progress, with involvement in breaks, lunchtimes and school trips.

Qualifications

• Provide support to pupils, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development, promoting positive relationships and a positive attitude to learning.
• Work with pupils who have additional needs, following individual support plans and agreed strategies. Be familiar with EHCPs and other individual plans.
• Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record pupils’ progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
• Support pupils during break times, lunchtimes, school trips and other activities as required.
