Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with diverse educational needs.
• Assist with the implementation of individual learning programmes.
• Encourage pupil participation and engagement across all classroom activities.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social interactions.
• Contribute to record-keeping and feedback for pupil progress.
• Support pupils with personal care or mobility needs where required.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all learners.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working in an education, SEN, or care setting is desirable.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting learners.
• Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with students and staff.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are beneficial but not essential.

• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
• Have an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
