St Mary’s Catholic School in Bishop’s Stortford is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils across the secondary curriculum. The role involves delivering targeted interventions, leading small-group sessions, and working closely with teachers and the SENDCo to maximise pupil progress.

The post requires strong English and Maths skills, excellent communication, and ICT competence. It is term-time only, 32 hours per week, with a competitive fringe salary and a start date of September

Qualifications

• Strong English and Maths skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Good level of ICT competence to support learning and communicate with staff and pupils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted, evidence-based interventions to accelerate progress for vulnerable learners.
• Lead small-group interventions and focus sessions with teachers and the SENDCo.
• Adapt resources to meet individual learning needs and monitor pupil progress.
