The Learning Academy Partnership is seeking a Learning Support Assistant at Lamerton C of E Academy in Devon. You will support and nurture children, including those with special educational needs, helping remove barriers to learning so every child can flourish.
A Level 3 qualification is required, with safeguarding and DBS checks essential. Experience with autism and speech and language development is advantageous.
The Learning Academy Partnership has an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join our School Trust, based in Lamerton C of E Academy.
Lying at the heart of the beautiful Tamar Valley, Lamerton takes the fullest advantage of our fantastic outdoor space, and the local environment is very much part of the daily curriculum where a wealth of natural resources makes learning exciting and awe-inspiring for all children. Our aim is to foster a love of learning in our children by developing and building on their creativity and curiosity.
As a small village school there is a real sense of community; we value the incredible relationships we have with our families and aim to ensure that all our children experience a rich and engaging curriculum that is grounded in our Christian values. Our vision is: 'Together we dream, believe and achieve'.
At Lamerton, we believe that education is about more than lessons in a classroom - it’s about sparking curiosity, building confidence and giving every child the best possible start in life and the courage to dream.
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join us who is inspired by our mission and wants to be part of a Trust where children are at the heart of everything we do. You will play a vital role in supporting and nurturing our children, including those with Special Educational Needs, helping to remove barriers to learning so every child can flourish.
Our ideal candidate will be committed to making a profound difference, particularly for our most disadvantaged children, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, confidence and resilience they need to thrive. Experience with autism, speech and language development, and knowledge of phonics would also be an advantage, but is not essential. The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification that is recognised as full and relevant by the Department for Education (DfE).
Our Trust is dedicated to building an authentic workforce, so if you are excited about this role but your past experience looks a little different to what we’ve identified, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may just be the perfect candidate! We are proud that we are a single organisation with a shared responsibility for all children, and one where you will feel professionally nourished through our extensive development practice and strong wellness offer.
Our School Trust is underpinned by our four core beliefs: we are stronger together; a sense of belonging; removing barriers; and realising the possible. This means that by working collectively, we can achieve our absolute best to ensure that children, especially the most vulnerable, can flourish. Our ethos is one of working together to Empower, Excel, Together.
We want to support you in deciding if we are a School Trust that you would like to join. We recommend that you arrange a visit or virtual call so that you can better understand if we are an organisation which excites you and can support you to flourish. Please contact Melody Sterry on 01822 613561 or to arrange an appointment.
The Learning Academy Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check and, where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.
