Job description

The Learning Academy Partnership have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our Trust, based at both Lamerton C of E Academy and Gulworthy Academy.

Situated in the heart of the beautiful Tamar Valley, both Lamerton and Gulworthy benefit from a stunning natural environment that plays a vital role in everyday learning. With Gulworthy's rich 150-year heritage and both schools' commitment to outdoor learning, children enjoy a wide range of experiences that bring the curriculum to life. We strive to inspire a lifelong love of learning by encouraging curiosity, creativity and exploration, helping every child reach their full potential.

As small village schools there is a real sense of community; we value the incredible relationships we have with our families and aim to ensure that all our children experience a rich and engaging curriculum that is grounded in our Christian values. Our vision is: ‘Together we dream, believe and achieve’

We are proud of how we work collectively as a family of schools with a shared responsibility for all children. By working as a Hub (alongside Lifton Community Academy, and St Andrew’s C of E Academy) and as part of the wider School Trust, we empower each other to deliver an exceptional offer that is fully rooted in the local community and values.

We are looking for an administrator who shares our values and is ready to play a key role in supporting our children to flourish. You’ll join a committed team dedicated to delivering the very best for our children every day. This role is perfect for someone highly motivated, with strong administrative expertise and excellent interpersonal skills. You’ll be comfortable working independently while following established processes, and equally confident collaborating with colleagues across our wider Trust.

Our ideal candidate will be exceptionally organised, detail-focused, and able to remain calm under pressure while managing competing priorities. As we embark on an exciting journey of collaboration – sharing best practice and expertise across our schools – we look forward to welcoming someone who will contribute to our shared goal of enabling all children to flourish.

Our Trust is dedicated to building an authentic workforce, so if you are excited about this role but your past experience looks a little different to what we’ve identified, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may just be the perfect candidate! We are proud to be an organisation where you will feel professionally supported through extensive development opportunities and a strong wellness offer. We value a healthy life balance and are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements.

Our School Trust is underpinned by our four core beliefs; we are stronger together, a sense of belonging; removing barriers and realising the possible. This means that by working collectively, we can achieve our absolute best to ensure that children, especially the most vulnerable, can flourish. In short, our ethos is one of working together to Empower, Excel, Together.

What we can offer you:

  • Make a real difference – every day you’ll have the chance to make a profound difference to children’s lives.
  • Be part of something bigger – you will be part of a values-led School Trust where we collaborate, innovate, and succeed together.
  • We invest in you – our People Strategy ensures you’re nurtured, supported, and given opportunities to develop so you can provide the very best for our children.
  • Grow your expertise – access to our high-quality professional development, career pathways, and bespoke CPD; we’re committed to your personal and professional growth.
  • A genuine commitment to life balance – we prioritise colleague wellness and actively support a healthy, sustainable approach to work.
  • Comprehensive wellbeing support – access to a confidential, 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme whenever you need it.
  • Flexibility that fits life – our family-friendly policies help you balance work with what matters most.
  • Perks and savings – from Cycle to Work and Tech schemes, to lifestyle discounts and benefits.

We want to support you in deciding if we are a School Trust that you would like to join. We recommend that you arrange a visit or virtual call so that you can better understand if we are an organisation which excites you and can support you to flourish. Please contact Melody Sterry – Telephone 01822 613561 or email or to arrange an appointment.

We are committed to making our application process accessible to everyone. If you have a disability, neurodivergent condition (such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, or autism), or any other additional needs, we will work with you to ensure you have the support you need. Please use the links below for more information, or contact us to discuss any adjustments that would help you take part fully in the process.

The Learning Academy Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS disclosures are required for this post along with the other necessary checks. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.
