Job summary

St Margaret's Church of England Academy is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join our KS1/KS2 team. The role is part-time, term-time only (37 weeks), 28.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am - 3:15pm, with pro rata pay scale 3, points 6-7.

The successful candidate will support pupils to achieve their potential within a caring Christian environment. The post requires enthusiasm, reliability and the ability to work well with colleagues, pupils and families.

Qualifications

• A high standard of written and spoken English.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• A calm, positive and patient attitude.
• A strong work ethic with flexibility to respond to day to day school life.
• Previous experience of working within Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Previous SEN experience preferable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning activities and small group work.
• Assist class teachers in daily classroom tasks and routines.
• Provide continuity and supervision during transitions and play times.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs as directed by staff.
