Job summary

Capital City College is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team across London campuses. This part-time, term-time role offers 31 hours per week over 40 weeks per year, providing specialist support to learners with learning difficulties and disabilities in Key Stage 4.

You will work with small groups and 1:1 sessions, collaborating with teachers to differentiate learning, track progress, and help students access the curriculum.

About the Role

This role is offered on a part-time, term time only basis in multiple sites. The successful candidate will work 31 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.

To support learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities (including emotional and/or behavioural difficulties) within the Campuses and to differentiate and facilitate learning according to the learner need. You will be working with small groups, 1:1 and as floating support in the Key stage 4 provision.

About You

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated individual who takes pride in delivering excellent service. You should bring:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Work closely with teachers to support the delivery of effective learning and teaching. Provide individual and small-group support to students in Key Stage 4.
  • Confidence working with systems and processes, and good tracking and IT skills
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Experience of working with learners with learning/behavioural difficulties and disabilities aged 14 and up
  • Work proactively with teaching staff to identify ways in which students can be supported to make progress.
