Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join welcoming primary schools across Lewisham. You will support pupils' academic, social and emotional development and help create an inclusive classroom where every child can thrive.

As an LSA, you will work with teachers to tailor activities, encourage confidence, and support pupils with additional needs. The role offers competitive weekly PAYE pay and flexible, long-term or permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, positive and proactive approach.
• The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, youth work, sports coaching or similar settings is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils individually, in small groups or within the whole class.
• Help children access learning by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
• Provide encouragement and build pupils' confidence, independence and engagement.
• Support children with additional needs, including SEND, where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
• Assist with classroom preparation, resources and daily routines.
