Job summary

Robins Way School near Amesbury is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils aged 7–11 with SEMH needs. The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group tailored learning, promoting confidence and independence in a nurturing environment.

You will work under safeguarding policies to help pupils access learning, develop communication, and build resilience, while collaborating with staff and families.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH or learning needs.
  • Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard and promote welfare, safety and wellbeing of pupils.
  • Provide consistent 1:1 and small-group support tailored to learning needs.
  • Work in line with school policies and standards.
  • Support day-to-day organisation and smooth classroom running.
  • Take responsibility for agreed areas of work, reviewed annually.
  • Contribute to the school's development and improvement journey.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
