Job summary

Fishbourne CE Primary School in West Sussex is seeking a flexible Learning Support Assistant to join on a temporary full-time basis (8.30am–3.30pm) for the remainder of the academic year, with possible extension. The post reports to the Headteacher and involves supporting teaching and learning in the classroom and across breaks, helping pupils' development and wellbeing.

A genuine interest in working with children, a collaborative approach and, ideally, the Emotional Literacy Support Assistant

Qualifications

• Temporary, full-time Learning Support Assistant contract.
• Contributes to pupils' development and wellbeing.
• Supports teaching and learning under teacher supervision.
• Experience with classroom support during breaks welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' learning in the classroom.
• Assist with physical and mental wellbeing.
• Supervise during breaks and lunch.
• Collaborate with the teaching team and external agencies if required.
