Job summary

The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls, part of Havering Schools, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support SEND, EAL and disadvantaged students. The role focuses on fostering inclusion, wellbeing, and academic progress within a supportive team.

We value differentiating instruction, planning multi-tasking activities, and using the Microsoft Office suite to assist learners. This is a fixed-term post for a term-time schedule with 32.5 hours per week.

• Experience supporting SEND, EAL, and disadvantaged students.
• Ability to differentiate support to pupils based on learning needs.
• Plan effectively to enable multi-tasking and manage priorities.
• Strong commitment to helping all pupils succeed and showing compassion.

Responsibilities

• Differentiate support to pupils based on learning needs.
• Plan effectively to enable multi-tasking while supporting students.
• Provide guidance in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook).
• Promote inclusion, wellbeing and academic progress for SEND, EAL and disadvantaged students.
• Communicate clearly and sensitively with children and adults.
