Job summary

The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to help promote inclusion, wellbeing and academic progress for SEND, EAL and disadvantaged students. The role is 32.5 hours per week, term-time, with a fixed-term contract and start as soon as possible.

You will work with an exceptional team to differentiate support, plan effectively, and use MS Office tools to assist students in their learning. Visits to the school are welcomed.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join us as a Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will:

  • An understanding of specific learning needs and styles to differentiate support to pupils
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook, and provide support to students in using these tools.
  • The ability to plan effectively to enable multi-tasking
  • A desire to help all pupils succeed
  • Compassion towards the needs of the pupils.
  • The ability to exchange verbal information clearly and sensitively with children and adults
