Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant in Leicester to support teachers and pupils in a dynamic classroom environment. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, help prepare resources, and promote inclusive learning. The role offers flexible part-time or full-time hours with competitive pay and ongoing training.

Essential requirements include an Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) and strong safeguarding awareness. DBS checks are desirable.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) or previous TA experience.
• DBS on Update Service is desirable, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caring, patient and positive attitude.
• Ability to support pupils with a range of learning needs.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
• Assist in preparing classroom resources and activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
• Support pupils with additional needs where required.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
