Job summary

East Midlands Education Trust is seeking a Learning Support Assistant at Castle Donington College to support students with SEN/disabilities in class. You will work with the Learning Support team and teaching staff to help learners build confidence and skills, with a patient, calm approach and strong communication.

The role is 37 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks), start ASAP, and offers a local government/Teachers Pension Scheme and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in an educational setting or with children
• Excellent communication skills, patient and calm
• Ability to inspire learners to develop skills and confidence

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to students with special educational needs and/or disabilities
• Work closely with the Learning Support team and teaching staff
• Support learners to work more independently and build confidence across year groups
