Job summary

Queen Elizabeth High School in Hexham seeks committed Learning Support Assistants to provide academic, social and emotional support across the curriculum in both the main school and our internal provision for SEMH needs.

You will work under the SENDCo and Assistant SENDCo to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff, uphold safeguarding, and promote high expectations and inclusive learning. An induction and training package will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, social and emotional support across the curriculum
• Support students with SEMH needs in main school and internal provision
• Assist with personal care duties as required to support pupil wellbeing
• Work with SENDCo and Assistant SENDCo to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff
• Uphold safeguarding standards and contribute to inclusive learning
• Participate in induction and training package for role and duties
