Job summary

Coleg Sir Gar is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to help learners access learning and build independence at Ammanford Campus. You will work with learners and course teams to provide individual, shared or group support in and outside the classroom.

Responsibilities include aiding organisation, time management, ICT skills, and maintaining records while contributing to quality improvement and safeguarding commitments. This is a permanent role in a supportive FE environment.

Qualifications

• Appropriate Level 3 qualifications are required.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good IT and presentational abilities.
• Welsh language proficiency: Level 2 essential (Oracy and Literacy).

Responsibilities

• Provide agreed support to learners and course teams both in and outside the classroom.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out with learners.
• Contribute to quality improvement processes and CPD activities.
• Support learners to become more confident and independent.
• Assist with time management, personal organisation and ICT skills.
• Aid with organisation of files and research techniques.
• Provide help with understanding oral and written instructions.
