Job summary

Manaba is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in mainstream and SEND schools around Portsmouth, Havant, Waterlooville and nearby areas. You will support pupils with diverse learning and medical needs, under the guidance of teachers, helping with tasks and reinforcing learning.

We offer flexible hours, from long-term to short-term, full-time and part-time, with app-based bookings and a team of caring consultants to support you on assignments in Portsmouth and surrounding districts.

Responsibilities

• Understanding to the individual learning and/or medical needs of the pupils
• Positive and calm under pressure
• Ability to demonstrate that you are trustworthy and ethical, with a supportive nature
• Help with schoolwork under the supervision of the teacher
• Help to prepare learning materials and help children understand instructions
• Carry out a child's care plan under the guidance of the teacher
• Encourage children to communicate and support them during social activities
