Job summary

Queen Elizabeth High School in Hexham is seeking committed Learning Support Assistants to provide academic, social and emotional support across all areas of the curriculum, in our main school and internal alternative provision for SEMH needs. The role may include personal care duties to support pupil wellbeing and inclusion.

You will work under the SENDCo team to build strong relationships with students, parents and staff, fostering high expectations and targeted support.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, social and emotional support across the curriculum.
• Support students with SEMH needs in the main school and the internal alternative provision.
• Occasionally assist with personal care duties to support pupil wellbeing and inclusion.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers and staff to enable all students to fulfil their potential.
