Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a mainstream secondary school in Chichester. You will help pupils with mild to moderate additional learning needs access lessons and build confidence alongside peers.

The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, assisting with literacy, numeracy and organisational skills, and developing pupils' independence. DBS check required, training and ongoing professional development provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a school setting.
• Previous school-based or SEN experience is not essential.
• A patient, approachable, proactive and confident communicator with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Support targeted literacy, numeracy, organisation and confidence-building interventions.
• Build positive relationships and create a calm, inclusive learning environment.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and become more independent within mainstream classes.
