Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is seeking five Learning Support Assistants for a fixed-term role in the South East. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to students with additional learning needs.

You will build positive relationships, adapt your approach, support delivery of learning plans, and help create an inclusive environment where learners can access education and grow in confidence.

• Commitment to supporting learners with additional needs.
• Ability to build rapport with learners and staff.
• Patience, sensitivity and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to learners with additional needs.
• Help students access the curriculum and complete their work.
• Encourage learner independence, confidence and engagement.
• Support the delivery of individual learning plans and monitor progress.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
