Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a further education provider. You will work with teaching staff to support learners with additional learning needs, delivering one-to-one and small-group support to help them access the curriculum and build confidence.

You will promote engagement, inclusion and positive behaviour across lessons and the wider learning environment, maintain records, and contribute to learner plans while prioritising safeguarding and learner

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners in educational or community settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to inclusive learning and learner progress.
• Patient, adaptable and proactive approach.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support to learners with additional learning needs.
• Help learners access the curriculum and develop independent learning skills.
• Work with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and support strategies.
• Promote engagement, inclusion and positive behaviour.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to learner support plans and reviews.
• Prioritise safeguarding and wellbeing of learners at all times.
