Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a Learning Support Assistant at a further education provider in the West Midlands. You will support learners with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and build independent learning skills.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, collaborate with teaching staff to implement support strategies and promote inclusive learning and positive behaviour throughout the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners in education, care or community settings.
• Strong communication, empathy and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to inclusive learning and learner progress.
• Patient, adaptable and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to learners with additional learning needs.
• Help learners access the curriculum and build confidence and independent learning skills.
• Work with teaching staff to implement support strategies and adapt learning materials.
• Encourage engagement, inclusion and positive behaviour in the classroom.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to learner support plans and reviews.
