Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for Bristol primary schools for the new academic year. This role focuses on providing one-to-one support to help children thrive academically, both inside and outside the classroom.

You will work closely with the class teacher to foster an inclusive learning environment, monitor progress, and communicate with parents as needed. The position is full-time, 8:30am-3:30pm, with competitive pay and robust professional development.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in supporting children with additional needs in education/childcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to the child, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Assist the child in completing tasks, assignments and activities to support progress.
• Implement strategies to enhance the child's social and emotional development.
• Run small group sessions for boosters and interventions to help catch up.
