Job summary

Tradewind Education Agency is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bristol. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–3:30 pm, supporting students with challenging behaviour and helping create an inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will bring resilience, a positive approach, and a passion for student development, with SEN experience valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience dealing with challenging behaviour in a school setting.
• Resilience and a good-humoured nature to navigate demanding situations.
• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to students displaying challenging behaviour.
• Implement behaviour management plans and promote self-regulation.
• Foster trust and engagement to support academic and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and monitor behaviour support plans.
• De-escalate challenging situations using appropriate techniques.
