Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for Challney High School for Boys. The role supports teaching and learning of individuals or groups within the classroom, with occasional withdrawal sessions, and contributes to pupil progress monitoring and planning.

Experience with literacy and numeracy, plus an understanding of SEN, is valued. Training in ICT is available, and successful applicants will join a supportive team in a busy school environment.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Understanding of Special Educational Needs.
• ICT experience is advantageous; hands-on training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support the teaching and learning of individuals or groups within the classroom and in withdrawal settings.
• Contribute to monitoring, recording and assessment of pupil progress.
• Contribute to planning teaching and learning for the whole class or individuals.
• Demonstrate an understanding of Special Educational Needs.
