Learning Support Assistant

ROLE: Learning Support Assistant

LOCATION: Bovington Academy

CONTRACT: TemporaryPart time, term time only

HOURS: 30 hours per week

SALARY : Grade D, scale points 5 - 6, FTE (£26,427 - £26,847 Pro rata for part time (£18,081.79 - £18,367.78)

START DATE : 2 November 2026 (or sooner if possible)

Withits extensive grounds and Forest schools; BovingtonAcademy is a primaryschool withina unique catchment area, includingBovingtonand theBritish Armygarrison between Allenby and Stanley Barracks. We currently have 171 children on rollin 7 classesfromReception to Year 6, with 60% of those having a parent orcarerin the services. Our LSAs have a wide range of skills and experience, and are expected to be able to work in any age group across the school or support SEND pupils on a 1:1 basis or small group.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

Bovington Academy will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not be on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
