Job summary

Stirling Council in Scotland seeks a Support for Learning Assistant to join Katrine House within McLaren High School. The role supports pupils in a classroom setting and, occasionally, in the wider school and local community, helping access opportunities and activities.

Applicants should have an understanding of complex additional support needs (including autism) and PVG requirements. The post is part-time (15.5 hours) with flexible hours and PVG process as part of the progression.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with additional support needs (ASD preferred).
• Understanding of PVG scheme and safeguarding requirements.
• Ability to work within a school setting and adapt to part-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Support learning activities in Katrine House and mainstream classes.
• Assist pupils to access activities and community opportunities.
• Contribute to an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
