Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves is seeking a Learning Support Assistant in Barnet for a September 2026 start in a specialist ARP setting. You will support two Year 9 and Year 10 students across KS3/KS4, providing targeted interventions and helping them access learning.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Psychology or Education, strong A-Levels, and prior tutoring or school-based experience. This role offers development through a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Psychology, Education, or related discipline from a leading university.
  • Strong A-Level results (A* or A) desirable.
  • Tutoring or school-based experience desirable.
  • Calm, resilient, adaptable; ability to build relationships with neurodivergent learners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted academic support across KS3 and KS4 subjects.
  • Work with two Year 9 and Year 10 students in a small-group setting; provide 1:2 support where required.
  • Support pupils in an ARP setting, including those with ASC and additional needs.
  • Maintain boundaries while remaining kind, patient, and consistent.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to support student progress.
  • Help students develop independence, confidence and engagement with learning.
