Job summary

Pertemps Education Network is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (ARP) for Lambeth, South London, starting September 2026. The role focuses on supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and complex learning needs, helping them access learning and develop independence in a nurturing school environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with ASC and complex needs, personal care in educational or care settings, and a patient, compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Autism and complex needs on 1:1 and small-group basis.
  • Assist pupils in accessing learning activities tailored to their needs.
  • Promote communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
  • Support pupils with personal care requirements while safeguarding.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, therapists and parents to support development.
  • Contribute to a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour strategies.

Learning Support Assistant (ARP)

Location: Lambeth, South London

Pay: £108.35 per day

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

A dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their Autism Resource Provision (ARP) from September.

This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex learning needs, helping them access learning, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes within a nurturing educational environment.

The Role
  • Support pupils with Autism and complex needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
  • Assist students in accessing learning activities tailored to their individual needs.
  • Promote communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
  • Support pupils with personal care requirements while maintaining dignity and safeguarding standards.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents to support pupils' development.
  • Contribute to a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Previous experience supporting children with Autism and complex needs.
