Smile Education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work on a supply basis across primary schools in Wolverhampton. You will support teachers, assist with lessons and adapt to different environments.

The role offers flexible hours (FT, PT, LT) and potential long-term or temp-perm options; DBS clearance is desirable and a passion for helping students to learn and grow is essential.

Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistants to join our team on a temporary basis (long-term and temp-perm available). As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in various primary schools across Wolverhampton, supporting teachers and students in the classroom during short-term absences, special projects, and other temporary vacancies. This role offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of young students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
• Provide one‑on‑one support to students who require additional assistance.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
• Prepare learning materials and resources as directed by the teacher.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and parents to support student progress.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings.
• A passion for education and a desire to support student learning and development.
• Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance is desirable.
