Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Wimborne is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to support young people with SEND on a permanent basis from September 2026. Qualifications

Do you have experience supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Are you looking for a rewarding permanent role where no two days are the same and every achievement, no matter how small, is celebrated?

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of one of our specialist education partners in the Wimborne area for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.

We are seeking committed professionals who already have experience working within SEND settings and are able to hit the ground running. You'll become part of a highly supportive multidisciplinary team, helping learners develop the confidence, communication skills and independence they need to thrive both inside and beyond education.

This role involves supporting young people with a range of additional needs throughout their educational journey. You'll work closely with teachers, therapists and other specialist staff to provide personalised support that enables learners to achieve meaningful progress academically, socially and emotionally.

Every day brings new opportunities to encourage independence, build positive relationships and help students overcome barriers to learning.
