Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant in Bristol to provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils across KS1 and KS2. You’ll help pupils build confidence and engage in lessons, working with teachers to deliver activities and support inclusivity.

Candidates with experience with children and an Enhanced DBS are preferred. Full-time role starting in September with opportunities across Primary, Secondary, and SEND settings, plus free safeguarding training and ongoing consultant

Learning Support Assistant

Primary school's across Bristol are looking for dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to provide tailored support for pupils across KS1 and KS2.

This is a genuinely rewarding opportunity to make a real difference. You'll build a trusted relationship, helping them face each school day with confidence, consistency and encouragement.

Your responsbilities will include:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement.
• Supporting children with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Langauge and other SEND.
• Promoting positive behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

We are looking for candidates who:

• Haveexperience working with children or young people in a school, SEND, care, youth work, or similar setting.
• Are passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Are patient, reliable, and adaptable.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
