Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for an Alternative Provision in South Birmingham. You will provide vital 1-2-1 support for students with SEMH needs, helping them engage with lessons and develop positive behaviours.

Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress and support learning in a safe, supportive environment. DBS checks apply; daily rate paid according to experience.

Learning Support Assistant - Alternative Provision

This vibrant and supportive Alternative Provision in SouthBirmingham is looking to add an experienced Learning Support Assistant to the team to provide vital 1-2-1 support for students who have struggled to engage in mainstream settings.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the teachers and SENCO to ensure that students receive the support that they deserve. This role requires a Learning Support Assistant with strong behaviour managements, and lots of empathy and resilience.

Job Role:

• Providing 1-2-1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
• Supporting pupils to remain engaged and focused during lessons
• Helping students develop positive behaviour and emotional regulation
