A leading secondary school in Twickenham seeks dedicated Learning Support Assistants to help students requiring additional support. This full-time role offers a chance to work collaboratively with staff to promote learning and well-being for students, potentially leading to permanent opportunities.
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £23,500 - £27,000 (FTE) depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only (39 weeks)
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Learning Support Assistants to join our inclusive and high-performing secondary school in Twickenham. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support to thrive-academically, socially, and emotionally.
You will be supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, both in class and through small-group interventions, helping to remove barriers to learning and raise achievement.
Support students with SEND, SEMH, and EAL needs in lessons across the curriculum
Provide 1:1 or small group support where required, in and out of the classroom
Collaborate with teaching staff and SENCO to implement support plans and personalised strategies
Help maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment
Record progress and contribute to regular review meetings
Promote student independence, confidence, and wellbeing
Proven experience supporting students in a secondary school setting
A strong understanding of special educational needs and the strategies that support them
Patient, calm, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills
Confident working with a range of students, including those with autism, ADHD, or social/emotional needs
Committed to safeguarding, equality, and student progress
A welcoming, inclusive, and supportive school community
High-quality training and CPD opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
