Job summary

Ravens Academy is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to help SEND pupils thrive in the classroom across all subjects as directed by the Class Teacher and SENCO.

You will need a grade C/4 or above in English and Maths, experience with children, and strong communication and organisational skills.

This term-time, 37-hour-per-week role is a temporary contract ending August 2027, offering a supportive team and opportunities to develop.

Qualifications

• Must have at least GCSE English and Maths grade C/4 or above.
• Experience working with a range of children, including those with special educational needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate well to children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning of individual SEND pupils within the classroom in all subjects as directed by the Class Teacher / SENCO.
• Assist with supervision and organisation of pupils in class and during activities.
• Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About you:-

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to help children of all abilities, including those with special educational needs and those eligible for Pupil Premium, to learn as effectively and independently as possible, both individually and in small groups. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a friendly team.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with a range of children and have the ability to supervise and organise pupils. This role requires, a grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
