Great Oaks College is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The role involves supporting students with special educational needs, working as part of a collaborative team, and providing personal care when needed.
The position is term-time only with 30 hours per week, mainly during school terms. Applicants should be calm, patient, physically fit, and committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
Great Oaks College is a specialist independent college which is currently open to students across two sites.
The college provides further educational opportunities to students aged 19-25 with moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties, many of whom also have other needs such as physical disabilities, sensory impairments and autism. We run three Pathways: Vocational, Life and Living and Engagement for Life.
The Life and Living Pathway is located at the Triangle in Hounslow, Engagement for Life and Vocational Departments is located at the Windmill, Sunbury on Thames (the main College address).
We are looking to employ a Learning Support Assistant to our team. As well as being calm and patient, you will need a good team working skills and be passionate about supporting students with special educational needs. Applicants must be physically fit and willing to undertake all aspects of personal care including toileting and feeding.

Pay Scale: Inner London Pay Scale 5, P11 £33,870 to P15 £35,892 for the full time salary working all year round.
Actual annual salary: £24,49 to £25,953 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent – Term Time Only (39 weeks)
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 15:15pm, 30 hours per week, 39 weeks in a year
