Job description

Great Oaks College is a specialist independent college which is currently open to students across two sites.

The college provides further educational opportunities to students aged 19-25 with moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties, many of whom also have other needs such as physical disabilities, sensory impairments and autism. We run three Pathways: Vocational, Life and Living and Engagement for Life.

The Life and Living Pathway is located at the Triangle in Hounslow, Engagement for Life and Vocational Departments is located at the Windmill, Sunbury on Thames (the main College address).

We are looking for:

Someone who shares our vision for developing independence for young adults with Special Educational Needs. You will be willing to support feeding and personal care, and to assist and encourage students to find ways to enjoy their leisure time. The successful candidate will understand the need to respect our students as young adults and be committed to supporting their development as they prepare for adulthood.

The full-time salary for this point is between £30,225 and £30,654 per year pro rata.

Your salary is calculated using full-time equivalent worked and is at 0.18627 fte.

Actual Salary:

£5,630 and £5,709 per year

Contract Type:

Permanent and part-time (8 hours per week), term time only (38 weeks per annum).

Working hours:

Monday 11.30 am to 1.30 pm, Tuesday to Friday, 12 noon to 1.30 pm

The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment induction.
