Job summary

Academics Ltd is helping a welcoming mainstream primary school in Stroud recruit a Learning Support Assistant to support learning and confidence in pupils.

The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, working with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities and adapt approaches to individual needs. DBS required or willingness to apply; term-time only, 8:30am-3:30pm, ASAP start.

Academics are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Stroud that is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

Every day will bring something different, from supporting children with classroom activities to providing one-to-one or small-group assistance.

• Setting: Mainstream Primary School
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
• Working Pattern: Term time only
• DBS: An enhanced DBS is required, or you must be willing to apply for one

What Will You Be Doing?

• Supporting pupils with their learning through one-to-one support and small-group activities.
• Helping children develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Adapting your approach to meet pupils' individual learning needs.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and helping maintain a calm, inclusive classroom.
