Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a number of Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Southend and surrounding areas. You will work 8:30–15:30, Monday to Friday, delivering 1:1 support and helping create an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to students based on individual needs.
• Maintain classroom and equipment in a safe, tidy condition.
• Record observations of pupils during the day for records.
• Communicate knowledge and understanding of students to school staff.
• Demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours aligned with the role.
• Promote inclusion and encourage participation in learning and activities.
• Provide teaching and learning support using appropriate resources.
• Support students with SEN and additional needs.
• Typical hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 3:30pm.

We are looking for a number ofTeaching Assistants to provide support within our Primary schools in Southend and the surrounding areas.

Classroom duties:

• Working to ensure the students receive an inclusive education with 1:1 support, based on their individual social, educational and intellectual needs.
• Maintain the classroom and equipment in a safe and tidy condition.
• Contribute to record‑keeping by recording observations of pupils during the school day.
• Communicate their knowledge and understanding of students to other school staff
• Demonstrate positive attitudes, values and behaviours consistent with the role and in line with the expectations
• Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
• Provide teaching and learning support including the use of appropriate technical resources
• Support students with SEN and additional needs
