Job summary

Porters Grange Primary School and Nursery is seeking an enthusiastic LSA to join our dedicated team. You will support pupils learning in early years and key stage 1, both in the classroom and in small groups, and provide targeted 1:1 assistance where needed.

The right candidate will have experience in primary schools, with SEND learners, GCSEs in English and Maths, and a caring, patient, flexible approach to working with children within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting pupils in primary schools.
• Experience of working with pupils with a range of SEND.
• Demonstrates caring, patient nature and flexibility.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils learning initially in younger year groups, in the classroom and in small groups.
• Provide 1:1 support as needed to help learning.
• Contribute to a positive, nurturing learning environment.

Salary

LSA Level 4 Points 4 to 7 £26,016 to £27,274 pro rata (actual salary £16,641 to £17,445) per annum

Hours

LSA - 27 hours and 55 minutes per week (8:30 to 15:40, with 95 mins unpaid lunch break - 27.92), Term Time only

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Experience of supporting pupils in primary schools
• Experience of working with pupils with a range of SEND
• Relevant NVQ level 2 or above
• GCSE A-C/equivalent in English and Maths
• A caring, patient nature
• The ability to be flexible
• The ability to work well within a team and independently
