Job summary

Friars Primary School and Nursery in Shoeburyness invites applications for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The successful candidate will support pupils with and without special educational needs in a busy, friendly classroom, adapt activities, and help create an inclusive environment that promotes independence and confidence.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, 32.5 hours per week, term time only, with a supportive team and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Experience with children with specific learning needs and social/emotional learning behaviours.
• Ability to work as a flexible member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning activities and daily routines.
• Promote inclusive learning and high standards across the class.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and encourage independence.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and specialists to support pupils with SEN.

About the Role

Hours of work

Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm (with 30 mins unpaid lunch break), totalling 32 hours and 30 minutes a week, term time only. Please note that these are the required working hours for the role.
