About The College

Welcome to Calman College, a Specialist Independent 16-25 college providing further education for autistic young adults with additional learning disabilities and complex needs. The college benefits from a large 20-acre site with a functional learning hub offering catering, horticulture, creative arts, and animal husbandry programs. We provide bespoke programs for learners at our campus in Thorney, near Peterborough.

About You

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will be a vital part of the Calman College family. Your daily duties may include:

• Building strong, meaningful relationships with students and adapting to their learning styles
• Supporting the Class Tutor and reviewing student progress
• Implementing programs devised by multidisciplinary teams, including Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Educational Psychologists
• Supporting access to curriculum and vocational activities to achieve positive outcomes
• Contributing to students' development through healthy lifestyles and stimulating activities
• Supporting communication skills development using appropriate methods
• Facilitating work experience and volunteering opportunities onsite and within the community

Working Week

This role is Monday to Friday during term time.
