Job summary

Sun Academy is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our primary academy on a fixed-term basis to support pupils during term time.

The successful candidate will have experience with young people, understand child development and be able to support children individually, in small groups and in whole-class activities. We welcome ambitious applicants who are passionate about helping every student succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people and children; understanding child development and how children learn.
• Experience in assisting children on an individual basis, in small groups and in whole class work.
• Candidates with a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student.

Responsibilities

• Support learning activities and assist with classroom tasks under supervision.
• Assist with pupil progress, behaviour management and safeguarding as required.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment within the academy.

• Contract Type:Fixed Term until July 2027
• Hours:31.5 hours per week,39 weeks per year (term time only)
• Scale:NJC 4-6
• Actual Salary: £19,050 - £19,658 (FTE Salary: £26,016 - £26,847)
