Job Description:

Prospero Teaching is working closely with a small, friendly primary school in Blackpool to recruit an enthusiastic and confident Year 1 Teaching Assistant to start in September for the full academic year.

The Year 1 TA role will involve:

1. Supporting groups with core learning activities including Reading, Writing, Phonics, and Maths
2. Making assessments and recording data
3. Delivering targeted interventions for groups and individuals, including children with SEN
4. Contributing effectively to behaviour management, alongside the class teacher
5. Preparing resources

Applicants should have prior experience in either EYFS or KS1 and a good understanding of the KS1 curriculum. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to build excellent relationships with children, and a genuine desire to support children’s progress and development across all areas.

This is a full-time position with a daily pay rate of GBP 95 – GBP 105, depending on experience.

Essential requirements include:

• Right to Work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS
• Relevant qualification such as a Childhood Studies degree, TA qualification, Level 2 or Level 3
• Professional references covering the last two full years
• Teaching Assistant experience in a UK primary school
